DAA Year 2 Style Analysis

Diploma of Applied Animation year 2 students have completed an animation style analysis assignment which has seen them mimic popular animation styles.

The assignment is designed to challenge students in the art of working in an established style, not only in the look of the characters, but also in subtlety of the movement of the animation style.

When working within a larger team of animators in a studio it is important that consistency and continuity is observed. Animators are constantly challenged by needing to adjust to different styles of animation; whether it is in studio or in a freelance environment.

Students are taught to become style chameleons throughout the course and can comfortably move through various styles of animation and illustration, making them adaptable to any project.

We've compiled some of these efforts into a short video, as you can see the students have nailed it!
